Dear Diary 11th September - “But Someone Has To Do It Tour”. Burghley to Blair, my daily diary of two weeks of top end equestrian sport from behind the lens. A Day Of Frustration!!!
Sometimes it’s the little things that make life frustrating. Today was one of those days. We arrived at Blair this morning to find the Car Park adjacent to the Media Centre, which we had been using for the past two days, was now off limits necessitating a hike with a ton of camera gear. The WiFi and Internet Access was extremely flaky - OK that is a major problem if you are wiring pictures. To add to the woes, there never seemed to be enough Shortbread Biscuits near the coffee machine. Today’s highlights - Couple of very nice pictures of Ingrid Klimke. Merel Blom reminds me of actress Ali Macgraw - but doesn’t look like her. Oliver Townend continues to get the crowd going. A nice glass of Pol Roger to finish off the day. The Germans are at the top of the leaderboard going into the Cross Country in the morning. Early start for us to get there before the traffic builds and rain is forecast for the whole of the cross country session. Influential ? Yes it will be - I will definitely be taking the rain covers.
Added a couple of fan images to yesterday’s gallery.
